Areas of Concentration

Chet's areas of concentration include advisory and numbers coaching for business and individuals, tax preparation and planning for individuals, partnerships and corporations and a specialized expertise consulting with closely-held businesses.

Education and Content Creation

Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from McPherson College; McPherson, KS in 2002. Masters Degree of Accounting with an Emphasis in Taxation from Kansas State University; Manhattan, KS in 2003.

In 2009, Chet completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) to earn the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) that certifies him to perform business valuation services. In 2013, Chet completed the certification process with the Exit Planning Institute to earn the designation of Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA). This designation is specifically for business advisors who work closely with owners of privately held companies. The First15 reading program, founder. Certified Numbers Coaching (CNC) program, founder and facilitator.  

Experience

Entered the accounting profession with KPMG, Kansas City, MO in 2003 and joined SJHL in August 2006. Admitted as a partner at SJHL in 2011. Became managing partner in 2014.

Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants; Central Kansas Chapter of KSCPA; Member of AICPA; Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Community Involvement

Chet is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, board member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA), president of the McPherson College Alumni Board, and a member of the McPherson High School Business Advisory Council.
