Benefits of First 15 Program Pique Interest

Feb 12, 2015

Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk & Loyd, LLC has noticed numerous benefits from maintaining their "First 15" reading program.

For a little over a year now, SJHL team members have participated in the "First 15" reading program that Managing Partner, Chet Buchman, jump-started in January of last year. This program allows team members to begin their workday by picking up a physical, non-fictional book of choice and reading for 15 minutes. Books of choice have various subjects ranging from leadership, spirituality and management.

Some of the benefits the firm has observed from implementing this program are improved team morale, knowledge to advance them in their career, improvements in production, and gaining interest of other businesses. There are three suggestions for those who would like to try something similar in their workplace:

1. Make Time

2. Build Momentum

3. Be Flexible
