ASD 2013 Parade

The 100th annual All Schools Day was this past weekend, and Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk & Loyd, LLC had some fun at the parade on Friday while also supporting Relay for Life. As we have done in years past, we set up early to sell chips and drinks during the parade to raise money for SJHL's Relay for Life team. Kala Bruce, Jackie Christiansen, Vicki Courtney, LaQuita Geis, Jenny Lang and Courtney Rierson all helped with the fundraiser. They also had a few extra helpers and visitors along the way, which made for a very fun morning. View more pictures on SJHL's Facebook page.

Vicki Courtney meeting Governor Brownback.
Governor Sam Brownback made his way past our stand as he walked back to the start of the parade and was sure to introduce himself to everyone. We also had a few SJHL kids stop to say hello as they made their way to the parade. LaQuita Geis had a big day as well because not only was she in the parade as a cancer survivor, she got to drive the car!

Thank you to everyone that came out for the parade and a special thank you to those that came by and supported our Relay for Life team. With your help we have raised over $2,700 toward our $3,500 team goal. Don't forget, McPherson County's Relay for Life is Friday, June 7th at Wall Park and begins at 6:00 p.m.
